Here’s our take on:
1. PIRACY
2. RAJESH HAMAL
3. EMO BANDS
ANISH
Piracy – Fuck Yea!
The one and only means for us to rip and piss rich/sob artists who are nothing but giant assholes.
Rajesh Hamal – Fuck Nay.
He touches himself and other men, their wives and daughters inappropriately. In other words, he’s a “youn sikari”
Emo Bands – Nay.
Why you ask? Not my piece of cake. Why don’t they mate with a parrot or something? They sure look like one.

AAYUSH
Piracy – Yea.
Without piracy I’d end up buying crap that ain’t worth it. Piracy gives me a chance to check out the albums without having to pay first not knowing if I’m getting something good or not. If I like it, I buy it.
Rajesh Hamal – Nay.
Shiva Shrestha jindabad
Emo Bands – Nay.
hahahaha Emo. They suck.

BIKASH
Piracy – YAY!!
Why? – I have always come to love anything related to Pirates. With their wooden legs, and hookhands and parrots and all….harrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Seriously, I am not rich enough to buy all the CDs that I want to hear, so its either piracy or musical starvation. I choose piracy.
Rajesh Hamal – YAY!!
Why? – when someone can churn out dialogues like ‘yo haat sathi ko lagi salam ho ani dusman ko lagi faalam’ (or something like that), there is no other reason required.
Emo-Bands – NAY!!
Why? – when (and IF) I get sad and depressed cause my girlfriend dumped me (or any other stupid silly reason), I’d rather smash me some furniture than sulk and listen to some whiny ass music.

Piracy- yea or Nay?
YES
Besides the obvious fact that piracy saves me money, I support piracy because it also helps the artist. My argument hinges on two basic premises: 1. piracy helps a band gain exposure and 2. bands don’t really get a lot from CD sales, so there are better ways of supporting the band. First off, having people spreading your music around is a surefire way to get your band known. If your music available for a very low price, it more likely that people will “take the risk” and buy your music. Say you are an up and coming band. You release your album and charge the normal price (Rs 250 or whatever). When people go to the CD shop and see your album, they might say to themselves “hey this could be something good”, but then they see the price tag. very few people would want to take a chance (because of the high cost). But suppose your CD is being sold in Maha Boudha for Rs 30. More people would be willing to try your music simply because the risk is much lower. Another way a piracy helps a band gain exposure is through “mp3 cds”. Let’s say your album is tacked into an mp3 CD which contains albums by other better known artists. In this case, you are gaining exposure thanks to the other bands popularity. Bottom line: more people listening to your music means you have a larger audience.
Second, the amount that the band makes from CD is peanuts compared to what they make from concerts. “A band can expect an average of $1.00 in royalties for each full-priced ($16.98) CD sold through normal retail channels.” (Source: music-law.com). In contrast, a band gets to keep most of the earnings from a concert (source: music-law.com). Hence, you may lose 10 bucks because 1 guy bought a CD and sent copies of it to 10 of his friends, but if even one of them decides to attend your concert, you more than make up for the loss.
Conclusion: to support bands, attend concerts, buy band merchandise, spread the word about how awesome the band is. If you feel like piracy is stealing, pirate their music and send them a cheque for $15.

Piracy – Yea or Nay!
Hell yeah! Piracy gives us a access to tons of albums and tons of DVDs. Without it life would be miserable as we would have to pay a lot to listen to music and watch movies and that is not acceptable. Hail Khasa Bazar for providing us everything from albums to DVDs to softwares and games. Piracy rules, so does Khasa Bazar. Rajesh Hamal – Yea or Nay!
Rajesh Hamal is the man. There is no Nepali movie without him. He is the king of Nepali film industry and he is still unmarried or is he not. Hya who gives a shit, stone Rajesh Hamal.
Emo-bands – Yea or Nay!
Hell yeah too! Without emo bands and emo rockers there would not be any Hall of Shame column in our magazine. Other than that I hate Emo-bands so Nay!

SUNIL
Piracy – Yea!
Without piracy I would have never been able to buy tapes or CDs of any of the bands I like. I’ll keep supporting piracy until they make it affordable for the average Nepali to buy music (or video or software or whatever). Arrrrgggghhhh!!!!
Rajesh Hamal – Yea!
Anyone who says shit like “sathi haru ko lagi yo haat salam ho, dushman haru lo lagi yo haat falam ho” is cool in my book.. Hail Rajesh and Hail Hamal!
Emo-bands – Hell fucking NO!!!!!!!
The only sound I want to hear from these pathetic motherfuckers is the squeal coming out of their lungs while we are beating them to a pulp with our bare fists.

Piracy – Yea or Nay!
Yea. The way I think about it is that I have never done any Piracy. I borrow, share, copy albums or movies for personal use, not with the intention of selling it afterwards. So unless I’m making some money out of other person’s work, I am not doing “piracy”. So a big fucking yea. If any bands/artists are complaining about Piracy and how it kills the artists and kills music – fuck off. Rs 250 for a lousy CD, I have other plans than thinking about how my 250 bucks is going to save an artist.
My logic is – Piracy actually helps to grow the music scene. Piracy -> No money from album sales ->Bands/Artists seek alternative -> Playing live is one of the best alternatives besides selling merch -> More Piracy, More bands play live to support their albums and earn from ticket sales -> More concerts, more fun, more crowd -> More stronger the scene becomes -> Everyone happy.
Rajesh Hamal – Yea or Nay!
Fucking Nay. There are no words or phrases to describe his mighty talent in acting. His style, dress up, dance moves, hair style. My MSN title says it all: If my MSN freezes, blame Rajesh Hamal.
Emo-bands – Yea or Nay!
Nay!!!! I have problems with their band names. My Chemical Romance, Bullet for my Valentine, hahaha.. kasto naam ho yo.. Some of these bands should be drowned or castrated to death before they take over our happy planet Earth.
